A celebration in one of the finished boarding houses for Marianne's 6th birthday and Daddy's 70th too! Marianne with her uncle 'Poppa Mars'. Marianne poses in one of her presents. J and J covid jabs, took about an hour. Ouch Glamour mummy. My second cousin, Hubert Von Seidlein passed away on the 21st. God rest his soul. He attended my Grandmother's and my mother's funerals in London. The last photograph is of Hubert as a baby in the arms of my mother, Anna Marie.
‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐
Holy Virgin, in the midst of the days of your glory, do not forget the afflictions of the earth. Look with kindness on all who suffer, on all who struggle with hardship, on all who must taste the bitterness of life without ceasing.

Have pity on those who love and are separated, have pity on the loneliness of the heart, have pity on the weakness of our faith, have pity on those we cherish, have pity on all who weep, on those who plead, on those who tremble. Give them hope and peace. Amen.

From Hubert's prayer book This series of three drawings following were said to be the work of Hubert. Hubert Von Seidlein. A wonderful painting by Hubert as a postcard dated 12.9.80. These series of three sketches of Marianne Tuchmann were said to be by Hubert Von Seidlein. Karin Michels‐Rautenstrauss with Ernst and Ursula Krakenberger and the Mayor of Nuremberg at the development of a home for the elderly. Karin became acquainted with the Krakenbergers through the Tuchmann history and house.

"With their generously endowed foundations Laurusstern e.V. and Laurusberg e.V., the couple have selflessly invested a significant part of their fortune and set their legacy in motion. For their special commitment, the two are to be honoured with this year's Donor Award of the City of Nuremberg. Since 2014, it has been regularly awarded to donor personalities whose commitment contributes to making Nuremberg even more worth living in.

The purpose of the Laurusstern Foundation ‐ skilled scrabblers will find all the letters for Ursula and Ernst in the name ‐ seems somewhat unconventional: One third of the income generated goes to the Nuremberg old people's aid association "Leben in Verantwortung (LiV)" (Life in Responsibility), another third supports various Israeli environmental and social foundations and also some local regional charitable associations. The last third flows into reserves." For a short while Marianne got into the habit of pulling this face, causing merriment and hilarity to all. Bridget gets her pilots licence! Stone me! What a life. Bridget and Doug out and about with ices in Summer. Brendan McNally and jolly new granddaughter Isabel in modernised Neville Road. Always good to see Maricel Felix who visits with her two: Zion and Lexi. They were going to sleep out in the garden but poor Lexi was not feeling well plus ‐ the rain. Most of these coconut macaroons went into the freezer. The last were finally consumed in December. A birthday picture. The boarding houses in Sodaco, nearing completion. Marianne inspects the work. The leftovers from the birthday party. Marianne starting to write. Courtesy of Mark Tuchmann. A paperweight portrait of our great great grandfather, Maro or Marum or Moritz Rosenwald from Burgebrach near Bamberg, 8th April 1837 to 15th March 1903. Courtesy again of Mark Tuchmann. A portrait of Fanny Tuchmann née Dessauer, our great great grandmother from Bamberg, 23rd September 1840 to 26th April 1914. Do her eyes follow you around the room?
